I am a self-taught mixed media artist and illustrator living in the South West of Scotland with my Border Collie, Jules.

 

My love of art began as far back as I can remember. My love for storytelling came a little later, from spending time with my Grandmother, who was an avid reader and collector of books. I would fall asleep in my Nana's spare bedroom surrounded by a library of books, listening to the quiet voices of an audiobook playing in the next room. The BFG's dream jars were never needed at Nana's house. Years later I endeavoured to put these two passions together, and create illustrations designed to inspire people to appreciate the natural world and animals around them.

The natural Scottish landscape, one of fields and glens, rivers and burns, heather and hills, alongside the animals and people who inhabit the Scottish borderlands provide a constant source of inspiration.

When I am not working, you will usually find me wild swimming, exploring or enjoying a cup of tea or coffee with a good book, film or T.V show.
